Oyinkansola Aderibigbe popularly known as Ayra Starr is a fast-rising Nigerian singer and songwriter.
She was born on the 14th of June, 2002 in Benin City, Edo State – one of the 36 states and capitals in Nigeria. She is one of two children born into a Christian family.
She lost her Dad in the year 2018. She currently lives in Lagos State Nigeria. The beautiful singer, Ayra Starr completed her primary and secondary school education in Lagos State. She is currently an undergraduate in a top university in southwest Nigeria.

Arya Starr career
She began singing at a very young age as a Church’s choir. In her spare time, she always composed songs that were written in notebooks.
She has performed several renditions of her songs at church programs, school events, carnivals, and music festivals.
Also, in August 2018, she was discovered and signed to Quove Model Management (A model management, scouting, and development company).
During her time with Quove Models, she was able to work with top brands and companies including Fashion Magazine, Mazelle Studio, Esperanza Women’s Wear Brand, and more. She also appeared on Eriife’s music video for “Dear Future Wife”.
Accompanied by her brother, she started going to a recording studio close to her house to make music. She also began doing the covers of some of her favorite songs and posted them on social media
One of the original songs “Damages” which she composed and sang had over 15,000 views on Instagram.
The song caught the attention of the recording producer and Mavins Record label owner Don Jazzy. He was impressed and asked her to come to see him.
He signed Ayra to the record label on the 21st of January, 2020. She is now a member of the Mavin Family alongside artists such as Korede Bello, Ladipoe, Rema, Crayon among others.
In early 2021, Ayra Starr achieved mainstream recognition with her eponymous debut extended play and its hit track “Away” which spent two consecutive weeks at number four on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 50 and went to number 17 on US Billboard Top Triller Global, paving the way for the release of her first full-length studio album, 19 & Dangerous in August 2021.
Categorized mainly as Afropop and R&B, the album has been met with favorable critical reception. It spawned two top forty hits in Nigeria.
The lead single “Bloody Samaritan” peaked atop the Top 50 chart, becoming the first solo song by a female artist to reach the number-one position.
Ayra Starr debuted on Pandora Predictions chart, and on 28 August 2021, she ranked number two on Billboard’s Next Big Sound.

Ayra Starr is signed to Mavin Records, a record label owned by Don Jazzy. The label has produced many artistes in the music industry which are Rema, Reekado Banks, Tiwa Savage, Di’ja, Korrede Bello, Johnny Drille, Crayon, DNA, Ladipoe and a whole lots of others. Mavin Records is believed to be one of the best record label in Nigeria.

She received a nomination from the Net Honors Awards in 2021 in the category of Most Played R&B Song.
Also in 2021, the musician performed at the season finale of the popular Nigerian talent show Nigerian Idol.
